“For more than five years I maintained myself thus solely by the labor of my hands, and I found that, by working about six weeks in a year, I could meet all the expenses of living.”
Overall, this chapter was quite intresting. I have never read anything that Thoreau has wrote about wealth and money, but I found this chapter was very intresting to me because of how Thoreau thinks. His thinking is truly unique, and he write's a lot about what his thoughts, and he explains his thinking, which makes his writing more enjoyable. This was a pretty good chapter overall, yet it was not my favorite chapter I have read so far.
