Getting back to school after a long winter vacation was a pain. I was so used to waking up at seven o'clock , that waking up at five past six felt like that I was waking up at four in the mourning. My little brother Riaz had a hard time too. After a painful morning, I arrived at school. I remember Mrs. Cousins telling me that we might think that we are going five miles an hour, but they will probably going forty five miles an hour. She was basically telling me that my teachers will be teaching us a lot of things because we missed two days of school. My first subject I went to was math. Mrs. Shiffler, my math teacher, taught us a lot of things in that short period of time. I remember that all of my teachers crammed in so much information in such a short period of time. That night, I was so tired because I was not used to the schedule. This happened the whole time for the week, I was able to do my homework but it felt like they were giving more than that week. After the weekend has passed, it was time to return to school. There were two big assignments, the Book VIII analysis and the collaborative analysis. The Book VIII analysis was easy to me because I knew what would fit best for the piece and what would sound really bad, plus all the ideas were mine so I didn’t have to choose, thought if I had someone else to help me, we bought could of came up with really good ideas. The collaborative Book IX analysis was much harder because everyone was giving idea’s it was hard to choose and if someone thought that what they wrote was really good and if someone thought it was awful, everyone would break into an argument. The biggest pro’s of doing this is that one person did not have to write everything, since everyone was working on it, we could all take a part we wanted to work on and focus on the part, making it the best it can be. Overall Unit One was a great way to jump back into the winter term after winter break.
