Adam Jamal

Every person on this planet has a passion. For me that is my fiery passion for animals. There is nothing greater than my love for animals, especially my cat. I first started to love animals when I was really young. When I was growing up, I was always around my three cats, Max, Kismet, and Chilly. These are the best cats that have ever lived on this planet.. Whenever I felt sad or down in the dumps, they were always there to comfort me. Ever since then, I have wanted  to be a veterinarian, I want to be one because I want to help people’s pets feel better so they can make their owners feel better.

Once I got a little older, I would be cleaning their litter, the three cats made a huge mess in their litter. It was a difficult task sometimes, but I knew that doing this, that my cats were happy. I also feed them. They all made a big mess when eating, I also helped clean the messed up. In the winter months, If I accidently left my door to my room, they would all come through the door and sleep on my bed with me. When I was that young my cats meant so much to me, and I will never forget them.

My other pets, my hermit crab Crabby, I named a lot of thing like that, for example, Fishy who was my pet beta fish. Anyway, I had a lot of fish which I loved and I also loved Crabby just as much. They all have a spot in my heart for them.  You might think that they were not that hard to take care of but they were a real hassle. With Crabby, I had to make sure that it was hot enough because they need to be kept in a warm temperature. For the fish, you have to do partial water changes almost every four weeks. A partial water change is when you take some water out and put new water in. You do not take all the water out because the old water has bacteria that the fish needs to survive and is used to the bacteria. If, you take all the water out the fish would be shocked because it is not used to the new bacteria. If you think this is a chore, I enjoy doing this. I find it fun taking care of pets because I know by doing this, I am making there life much better.

Ever since then, all my work with animals, have been fueling my fire, that makes me want to become a vet even more. I got one step closer to my goal. Last summer by signing up for a veterinary camp at Tufts. They taught me what being a vet would be like. After witnessing that, it fueled my fire even more and made me want to become a vet even more, because of this passion, it gave me the Idea that I should do my blog about animals! I think this is perfect for me because I love animals and when I grow up, I want to work with animals, it all works out!
